Commenter Aldrin asked in the previous post whether a simpler black and white version of the Cheat Sheet could be provided, so here we go!
This article was originally posted in April 2010. You can find out about Version 3 of the Web Safe Fonts Cheat Sheet here
The original version was intended more for professional level printers/proofers that can handle fine detail and contrast, borderless printing, etc. It also looks pretty…
The new version is suitable for consumer-level inkjet printers and black & white office laserjets. It’s not so visually enticing, but is perhaps more practical. Would be interested in knowing which version people prefer.

I’m experimenting with storing the documents in different ways, so if you are having difficulty in downloading, let me know in the comments.
Want a PSD version?
I’ve not had a huge response to my survey so far, so I’d like to make another request. If you like the Cheat Sheet, could you please say thanks by anonymously answering five quick multiple choice questions relating to a PSD to HTML app I am working on.
As way of encouragement, if you complete the survey, you’ll get a link to an editable PSD of the Cheat Sheet, so you can tinker around with it as much as you like.
A link to the survey is here: http://surveys.polldaddy.com/s/B6A48BFD5B95176D/
If you have come to this post fresh, you may want to read the original Web Safe Fonts article here
Thanks.

I tried to take the survey posted above, and it is not working. I think this may be why you aren’t having a huge response to it? It won’t let me get past question 1. I answer the subquestions in #1, and every time I hit submit, it erases the first 5 answers and then says to answer them because I’ve left them blank.
Let me know if you fix it… I’d be happy to take the survey for you :)

Hi Lauren,
Thanks for the heads up about the survey. I just tried it and yes, it does seem to be broken (it worked fine before). I could set up a new one, but this would mean having to manually aggregate the data, and I’ve kind of got the information I need.
Thanks for offering to take it anyway. If you, or anyone else, wants the link to the PSD version, it is here

Thanks! One of the best laid out ones I have seen; actually makes it a tool.
